New president for Msida St. Joseph

msida-press-conf-new-pres2013First Division side Msida St. Joseph announced that Mr. Carmine Ferrara has been confirmed as the club’s new President. Ferrara, who hails from Rimini, Italy, spoke in detail about his future plans for the club during a press conference which was held on Monday at Il-Palazzin Hotel, Qawra.

The new Msida president explained that his vision of football is based on what he grew up to know in Italy; where clubs are ran in a professional environment. Ferrara said he wants to instil a level of professionalism that is new to our shores and said that he will be surrounding himself with young, energetic, business-minded individuals that want to work together towards a common goal.

The Msida president did not go into detail of what will be his imminent target but explained that from now on, the club will be acting in a more professional way.

Ferrara went to introduce the club’s latest signing – Italian defender Pellegrino Albanese. Albanese was on the books of Inter at youth level and played in the Serie B and Lega Pro.

Msida coach Todor Raykov said that he is looking forward to work in this interesting project and thanked Carmine Ferrara for confirming him as coach.

General Secretary Keith Abela-Wadge, presented the club’s new signings for this season, namely John Agius, Ian Schembri, Lydon Micallef, Dino Cachia, Shawn Magro, Gaetano Gesualdi, Othniel Carrion Bouagba, Ariel Laudisi, Jose Luiz Nogueira Lopes Junior, Daniele De Luca and Pellegrino Albanese.
