Five Premier League players suspended

20110417-114224.jpgFive Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches from the BOV Premier League.

Hibernians duo Ryan Camilleri and Zoran Levnajic, John Mintoff of Sliema Wanderers, Luke Dimech of Valletta and Jose Filipe Caldeira Aguiar of Vittoriosa are therefore ruled out of the next matches in programme on the weekend 19/20 October.

Camilleri, Levnajic and Mintoff will miss the big match between Hibernians and Sliema while Dimech and Aguiar are ruled out of Valletta vs Vittoriosa.

Meanwhile Mosta FC president George Galea was banned for two matches while team manager Adrian Farrugia and club official Victor Vella were suspended for four matches.

In the First Division, Claudio Calleja (Birzebbuga) was suspended for one match while Zurrieq coach David Carabott was banned for one match.

Demis Grima (Marsa) was banned for two matches in Division 2 while Renald Attard (Marsaskala), Vince Camilleri (Senglea) and Jean Paul Grima (Siggiewi) were suspended for one match. Ian Darmanin (Mgarr) was banned for one match in Division 3.

Christian Barbara (Kalkara) and Glendon Refalo (Swieqi) were banned as they did not have a valid medical certificate.
