The draws for the Under-13 events for children born 2001/2012, organised by the Youth FA were held at the YFA Headquarters, Ta’ Qali earlier this week. Once again the Youth FA is holding two events for this age group – Inħobb il-Futbol and the Festival Events.

Youth FA Vice-President Robert Attard said that the Under-13 Inħobb il-Futbol event was a bridge between the Fun Festivals and the Leagues organised by the Youth FA. He said that this event was not a competition and therefore no league tables were kept with the only objective was to have children take part.

Youth FA Secretary Joe Micallef explained the ruled of this event, stressing that seven substitutions are allowed and that all children should be given the chance to participate. He thanked those nurseries who offered their venues to host the event for free.

The officer in charge of fixture, Frans Zammit said that matches will start on October 26th and come to an end by the end of April 2014.

The draws for the two ‘Inħobb il-Futbol’ groups resulted as follows: –
Group 1: Zabbar St. Patrick, Hamrun Spartans, St. Andrews, Pietà Hotspurs, Paola Hibernians, Zebbug Rangers, Qormi and Lija / Iklin
Group 2: Mosta, Birkirkara, Tarxien Rainbows, Pembroke Athleta, San Gwann, Melita and Rabat Ajax.
