Stephen Grima, Head of Coach Education within the MFA Technical Centre, was selected to deliver a presentation during a UEFA coaching education workshop which was held in Budapest, Hungary earlier this month. Two hundred participants from all European countries and FIFA representatives took part in the workshop.

Grima spoke about how coaches could bring the best out of their players as he said that according to studies, the biggest problem players were facing in trying to give their best was not physical limitations but the inability to understand and follow the coaches’ instructions and also the attitude of coaches.

Stephen Grima finally appealed for coaches to believe more in players and make them move up the ladder at their own pace, while still setting high standards for players.
