BOV Division 3: Sirens hit six past Qrendi

stavenera-stalucia131109Sirens continued their march on top the BOV Third Division table thanks to a 6-0 win over Qrendi in one of the six matches in programme on Sunday.

Santa Lucia registered a narrow 1-0 win over St. Venera Lightnings while Attard came back from two goals down to beat Mtarfa 3-2.

Ghaxaq defeated Marsaxlokk 2-0 while Xghajra Tornados registered a 2-0 win over Mgarr United. In another match, Ta’ Xbiex and Kalkara shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Sirens lead the way with 22 points, followed by Santa Lucia on 19, Swieqi 18, Attard 16, Luqa and Ghaxaq 15, Sta. Venera 13, Xghajra 12, Mgarr 10, Mtarfa 7, Qrendi 4, Kalkara and Ta’ Xbiex 2 and Marsaxlokk -3.
