Ghedin names provisional squad ahead of Faroe Islands friendly

malta-czechrepublic131011National coach Pietro Ghedin named a provisional squad ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly match at the National Stadium against the Faroe Islands.

Balzan duo Steve Bezzina and Andrew Scicluna are the two new faces in the squad. However Bezzina already has two international caps after making his debut in a friendly match against Bulgaria in November 2009. Valletta defender Luke Dimech, on the other hand, was not considered for selection.

Goalkeeper Andrew Hogg is back in the squad after being left out of the last World Cup qualifiers.

The injured Gareth Sciberras, Paul Fenech and Shaun Bajada are missing from the squad.
