Daniel Bogdanovic obtains release from Floriana

Floriana FCDaniel Bogdanovic is free to join another club following a decision of the MFA Players, Coaches, Players’ Agents and Member Clubs Complaints Board on Tuesday.

Bogdanovic, who had signed a two-year deal with Floriana this summer, was suspended for twenty-eight days by the club last month after a clash with another colleague during training. He had filed a request for salaries due and to be granted the release after not being paid the salaries for three consecutive months.

The player said that he was paid €1,500 for the month of July for his participation in the AME Cup but had not received salaries for the months of August, September and October.

The Board ordered Floriana to pay Daniel Bogdanovic €4,500 by November 30th to cover the salaries for August, September and October. He also granted a free and unconditional release from Floriana with immediate effect.

Meanwhile during a meeting of the Control and Disciplinary Board, it was revealed that Floriana had made the payment of €17,253 to goalkeeper Tony Warner in two installments on the 11th and 13th November.

Due to the late payment and the fact that there is still a balance of €291 due to the rates of exchange, the club was fined €250, was ordered to pay 8% interest on the €17,253 since the 16th September and pay the remaining amount of €291 plus interest immediately.
