Zebbug Rangers registered a fifth successive win in the BOV First Division as they beat Melita 2-1 in one of the two matches in programme at the Centenary Stadium.

Jesmond Zammit’s side take sole leadership on 23 points, two ahead of Pietà and six ahead of Melita who however played two games and one game respectively less than Zebbug.

Meanwhile Gzira United returned to winning ways after four draws from the last five matches as they beat Zejtun Corinthians 2-1.

Zebbug lead the way with 23 points, followed by Pietà on 21, Melita 17, Lija 16, Birzebbuga and Gzira 14, St. Andrews and St. George’s 12, Gudja 11, Zejtun 10, Zurrieq 8, Msida 5 and Hamrun -1.
