Sirens and Swieqi United extended their positive run in the BOV Third Division as both registered a fourth consecutive win on Saturday.

After beating Xghajra last week, leaders Sirens defeated another team challenging for promotion, Ghaxaq, 3-1. Swieqi United, on the other hand, defeated bottom-placed Marsaxlokk 3-0.

Xghajra Tornados dropped two important points in a goalless draw with Ta’ Xbiex, allowing Santa Lucia to join them in third place thanks to a 1-0 win over Kalkara.

Mtarfa beat Qrendi 3-0 while Sta. Venera Lightnings defeated Luqa St. Andrew’s 2-0 in another two matches.

Sirens lead the way with 45 points, followed by Swieqi on 41, Xghajra and Santa Lucia 30, Ghaxaq and Attard 29, Mgarr 28, Luqa 25, Sta. Venera 23, Mtarfa 19, Qrendi 16, Ta’ Xbiex 10, Kalkara 3 and Marsaxlokk 1.
