Sirens and Swieqi United continue to march closer to promotion to the Second Division as both extended their unbeaten runs in the BOV Third Division with two wins on Sunday.

Sirens beat Luqa St. Andrew’s 4-0 while Swieqi defeated Mgarr United 2-1. Xghajra Tornados returned to victory as they beat Kalkara 4-3.

Ghaxaq registered a 3-0 win over Ta’ Xbiex while Attard beat St. Venera Lightnings 2-1. In another match, Qrendi defeated Santa Lucia 2-0.

Sirens lead the way with 48 points, followed by Swieqi on 44, Xghajra 33, Ghaxaq and Attard 32, Santa Lucia 30, Mgarr 28, Luqa 25, Sta. Venera 23, Mtarfa 22, Qrendi 19, Ta’ Xbiex 10, Kalkara 3 and Marsaxlokk 1.
