Mellieha dropped two important points in the race for promotion as they were held in a 1-1 draw by Gharghur in a match from the BOV Second Division on Friday.

Mellieha are therefore still fifth with Gharghur remaining in seventh place.

Fgura lead the way with 37 points, followed by Mqabba on 35, Pembroke 34, San Gwann 31, Mellieha 31, Zabbar 29, Gharghur 27, Marsa 22, Senglea 21, Marsaskala 19, Siggiewi 16, Kirkop and Dingli 15 and Mdina 9.
