Pembroke Athleta joined leaders Fgura United at the top of the BOV Second Division table thanks to a 3-1 win over Gharghur on Friday.

For Pembroke, this was therefore another important win in their bid to secure promotion to Division 1.

Fgura and Pembroke lead the way with 40 points, followed by Mqabba on 36, San Gwann 34, Zabbar 32, Mellieha 31, Gharghur 27, Marsa and Senglea 22, Marsaskala 20, Siggiewi and Kirkop 16, Dingli 15 and Mdina 9.
