Ghaxaq maintained the challenge for promotion thanks to a 3-1 win over Qrendi in a match from the BOV Third Division on Friday.

For Ghaxaq, this was the third successive win which puts them four points ahead of Xghajra and six ahead of Attard. Xghajra however have a game in hand and Attard have two games in hand.

Sirens lead the way with 51 points, followed by Swieqi on 47, Ghaxaq 38, Xghajra 34, Attard 32, Santa Lucia 31, Mgarr 28, Mtarfa and Luqa 25, Sta. Venera 23, Qrendi 20, Ta’ Xbiex 10, Kalkara 3 and Marsaxlokk 2.
