Birkirkara FC’s Shola Haruna Shodiya is the BOV Player of the Month for February 2014.

Following Birkirkara’s defeat at the hands of Valletta, Birkirkara needed a solid performance against Vittoriosa to boost their morale. Shodiya did not disappoint as he spearheaded Birkirkara’s 4-1 victory in a match that was undoubtedly his show. Shola netted his fourth goal of the month against Balzan after he had scored through a penalty in the 2-1 loss to Valletta.

With a tally of 11 goals for Birkirkara by the end of February, the Nigerian forward is an integral part of coach Paul Zammit’s attacking trio alongside Jhonnattann and Temile. In his current form, Shodiya will definitely prove to be one of the factors in Birkirkara’s bid for a second successive BOV Premier League title.
