Vittoriosa Stars cannot afford any result other than a win as they take on Floriana in one of the four BOV Premier League matches in programme on Saturday.

In another two matches from the Relegation Pool, Qormi take on Rabat Ajax and Tarxien Rainbows face Naxxar Lions. Sliema Wanderers meet Balzan in a match from the Championship Pool.

Qormi vs Rabat A., kick-off 16:00 at Victor Tedesco Stadium
Another win for Qormi over relegated side Rabat Ajax would put Karel Zeman’s side closer to securing their Premier League status. They won four of the last four matches. Rabat, on the other hand, lost the last five matches and are coming from a series of twenty matches without a win.

The Magpies will once again be a depleted side due to the absence of the suspended Joseph Caruana and the injured Dylan Falzon, Dani Pelaez and Adam Smeir. Raffaele Simone Quintieri and Joao Gabriel da Silva are suspended for Qormi.

Qormi beat Rabat 3-0 in the third round after two goalless draws in the first phase.

Sliema W. vs Balzan, kick-off 18:15 at Victor Tedesco Stadium
Sliema will move back in fourth place if they beat a Balzan side coming for seven straight defeats.

Admir Vladavic is ruled out through suspension for Sliema but Stanley Ohawuchi will be back after serving a one-match ban. Dylan Grima, Luke Sciberras and the suspended Fabio Vignaroli are unavailable for Balzan

The Wanderers defeated Balzan three times this season – 1-0, 3-0 and 4-0.

Tarxien R. vs Naxxar L., kick-off 16:00 at Centenary Stadium
Naxxar Lions seek another positive result after returning to winning ways last week to move five points ahead of Vittoriosa. Tarxien, on the other hand, were held in a draw by Vittoriosa after four consecutive wins.

Carlo Mamo and Karl Pulo are suspended for Tarxien while Gilmar da Silva Ribeiro serves a suspension for Naxxar.

Naxxar beat Tarxien 3-1 and 2-0 in the first phase but the third round clash ended in a 2-1 win for Tarxien.

Floriana vs Vittoriosa S., kick-off 18:15 at Centenary Stadium
Lying five points behind Qormi and Naxxar Lions, Vittoriosa Stars have to beat Floriana to keep hoping of retaining their Premier League status. The Stars won just one of the last seven matches and are coming from two draws with Naxxar and Tarxien in the last two outings.

The Greens seek a fourth win over the Stars this season to almost make sure of staying in the Premier League next season. They beat Vittoriosa 2-1, 3-1 and 3-1 in the previous rounds.
