Birkirkara hit four past Mosta

bov-premier-league-2013-2014Ronaille Calheira Seara scored twice as Birkirkara hit four past Mosta to make sure of staying at the top of the BOV Premier League table.

For Birkirkara, this was the second consecutive defeat while for Mosta, this was the first defeat after four positive results. However they are still fourth, one point ahead of Sliema.

The Stripes managed to take the lead on the 12th minute when Edward Herrera concluded a good move on the right with a perfect pass for Ronaille Calheira Seara who hit the ball home from close range.

Mosta goalkeeper Kurt Rizzo performed a fine save on a great shot by Shola Shodiya on the 23rd minute. On the 35th, Ronaille Calheria was unlucky to hit the upright with an angled shot, just a minute after Mosta threatened the Birkirkara rear-guard with a Piccioni effort which was neutralised by Justin Haber.

Birkirkara doubled the score on 41 minutes with a carbon-copy move of the first goal but this time, Herrera served Jhonnattann Benites da Conceicao who slotted the ball past Rizzo.

Two minutes from half-time, Gianmarco Piccioni hit the woodwork when served by Kurt Zammit on the right.

Eight minutes in the second half, Ronaille Calheira Seara hit the upright with a shot from inside the area. On the other side of the pitch, Harouna Bara served Piccioni whose conclusion ended just over the bar.

Birkirkara increased the lead twelve minutes from time when Frank Temile exchanged the ball with Ryan Camenzuli and off the latter’s cross, Matheus Bissi da Silva controlled the ball before hitting home.

However it was not over yet as Ronaille Calheira Seara added another one on the 87th minute, hitting low past Rizzo off an inviting pass by Ryan Camenzuli from the left.
