Xghajra Tornados joined Attard in fourth place as they beat Swieqi United 2-1 while Attard shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Ghaxaq in the BOV Third Division on Sunday.

With two games to go for the end, Ghaxaq lie in third place on 46 points, followed by Attard and Xghajra on 44. Four teams will be promoted to Division 2 with champions Sirens and Swieqi United already securing promotion.

Mgarr United beat Ta’ Xbiex 3-0.

In other matches, Kalkara and Marsaxlokk, Mtarfa and Santa Lucia, Qrendi and Luqa St. Andrew’s all earned a point in 1-1 draws.

Sirens lead the way with 66 points, followed by Swieqi on 54, Ghaxaq 46, Attard and Xghajra 44, Mgarr 37, Santa Lucia 33, Mtarfa 31, Luqa 28, Sta. Venera 27, Qrendi 24, Ta’ Xbiex 17, Marsaxlokk and Kalkara 6.
