The San Gwann Youth Football Nursery, in collaboration with the San Gwann Local Council will be organising the 20th Edition of the renowned Mediterranean Cup between the 12th and the 19th April. The Mediterranean Cup is one of the top Annual Youth Football Festivals organised in Malta and a showcase for aspiring young footballers to show their skills. One could say that all local players playing in the country’s senior leagues have some time or another participated in this festival.

Twenty-seven teams from fifteen local nurseries will be taking part in this annual event, together with an Italian Under-11 side Lavello, and will be playing in five different categories namely Under-7 who will play on the 12th April, Under-8 (13th April), Under-9 (19th April), Under-10 and 11 (17th and 19th April).

The club wishes to stress that although the festival consists of games that will have have results there are no winners and losers but only kids enjoying themselves in the game they love the most. Parents, supporters and the general public are expected to keep this in mind at all time and show respect to everyone on the field of play.
