Floriana ended their commitments with a narrow 2-1 win over relegated side Rabat Ajax in a typical end-of-the-season match.
This was the fourth win in six matches for the Greens who finish the Relegation Pool at the top with 30 points. Rabat, on the other hand,
Floriana took the lead on the 19th minute when Igor Coronado released Diogo Pinheiro de Souza on the left and the latter managed to beat Rabat goalkeeper Andrew Zammit.
Five minutes in the second half, Igor Coronado doubled the score hitting home from close range off a cross by Christian Caruana from the right.
Rabat reduced the gap five minutes from time when off a freekick by Diego Carrillo from the left, there was a short clearance and Shaun Gauci placed the ball at the back of the net from close range.
