Reach Out campaign ahead of UEFA Under-17 Championship hits Gozo

bjorn-vassallo-chris-agius-reach-out-gozoMFA Chief Executive Officer Bjorn Vassallo and Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sport Chris Agius visited a number of schools in Gozo and the Gozo Football Association a few days before the Gozo Stadium hosts four group matches from the UEFA Under-17 Championship

Vassallo and Agius visited the Gharb Primary School, the Boys and Girls’ Secondary Schools and the Sacred Heart Seminary in Victoria where the delegation met students and spoke about the projects related to this event which were done by these students. Projects focussed on three of the participants – Switzerland, Spain and Russia and the theme of Fair Play.

They also visited the Gozo Stadium and met officials from Gozitan nurseries.

vigo-micallef-anton-refalo-reach-out-gozoAnother visit was by MFA senior vice-president Ludovigo Micallef and Minister for Gozo Dr Anton Refalo who visited the Sacred Heart Seminary.

The project done by students from this school focussing on Fair Play emerged as the winner among eight participating Gozitan schools. Joe Bajada and Tony Grech were the judges of projects carried out by Gozitan students.

Micallef and Refalo then visited the Gozo Stadium where they met workers and volunteers who are completing works ahead of the event.
