Vittoriosa Stars striker Oscar Dario Guerrero Alvarado wrapped up the BOV Football season with his second consecutive BOV Player of the Month award.

The skilful Colombian, with a knack for wriggling through the opponents’ defence was a major factor in Vittoriosa’s bid to try to keep their spot in the BOV Premier League. With three consecutive victories over Floriana, Rabat and Qormi where Guerrero scored twice, Vittoriosa came short in the do-or-die encounter with Naxxar.

With a tally of 15 goals in the BOV Premier League and two ‘BOV Player of the Month’ trophies on his mantelpiece, it has certainly been a successful season for Guerrero who is rumoured to be returning to the local football scene the upcoming season.

Joseph Chetcuti, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s Cospicua Branch presented the BOV Player of the Month Trophy for April 2014 to Guerrero.
