a goal by Scott Wright one minute in the second half enabled Scotland to collect their first three points in Group B of the UEFA Under-17 Championship as they beat Germany 1-0 at the Hibernians Stadium. A win which opens wide the battle for the last semi-final spot.

With the final two Group B matches scheduled for Thursday at 18:00, Portugal lead the way with six points, followed by Scotland on three, Germany and Switzerland one. On Thursday, Switzerland take on Scotland while Germany face Portugal.

Scotland took the lead one minute in the second half when off a cross by Calvin Miller, Scott Wright’s header beat goalkeeper Timo Königsmann.
