Former Argentina and Inter defender Javier Zanetti paid a visit to the MFA Headquarters and met Chief Executive Officer Bjorn Vassallo and vice-presidents Dr Chris Bonnett and Alex Manfre following an invitation by the MFA.

Zanetti is currently in Malta to raise awareness about the Fundacion Pupi which is a charitable institution which was established by Javier Zanetti and his wife to aid less fortunate children from the favelas in Argentina while organising a training camp for children at the Luxol Grounds following an invitation by Paul Fenech and Malta Under-17 coach Sergio Soldano – a former coach of the Inter FC youth sector.

The Malta Tourism Authority also played an important role after appointing him as its brand ambassador for the Maltese Islands in Italy.

Javier Zanetti visited the MFA Technical Centre where he met the coaches before the meeting with MFA officials.

The association thanked Paul Fenech for making Zanetti’s visit possible and wished him and Javier Zanetti success in their future projects.
