Malta international defender Steve Borg is on the verge of joining Anorthosis Famagusta according to reports in Cyprus.

Anorthosis are now led by former Valletta coach Andre Paus and had earlier secured the services of former Valletta midfielder Irakli Maisuradze.

Steve Borg, who is out of contract, earlier had a trial with Platinum Stars in South Africa.

A product of Mosta, Borg made his Premier League debut in season 2005/06. He left the club to join Valletta in 2009.
