MFA releases fixtures for season 2014/15

BOV-Football-LeaguesThe BOV Premier League 2014/15 will kick-off on Saturday 16th August with the clashes between Tarxien Rainbows and Sliema Wanderers at the National Stadium; Birkirkara and Pietà Hotspurs at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, both matches kicking-off at 18:30. These will be followed by the game Floriana vs Hibernians at the National Stadium, kick-off at 20:30, and Balzan vs Zebbug Rangers at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, kick-off at 20:45.

Champions Valletta will be in action on Sunday 17 at the National Stadium, kick-off at 20:30, after the game Qormi vs Naxxar Lions which kicks-off at 18:30.

The fixtures for the BOV Premier League, BOV First Division, BOV Second Division, BOV Third Division and the Youth League were announced on Thursday.

BOV Premier League Fixtures

The BOV First Division will kick-off on September 12 with St. George’s vs Msida St. Joseph at the Centenary Stadium. On Saturday 13, Vittoriosa Stars face Gzira United and Fgura United meet St. Andrews at the Centenary Stadium. On Sunday 14, the Centenary Stadium hosts Rabat Ajax vs Mqabba and Melita vs Pembroke Athleta while Gudja United vs Birzebbuga St. Peter’s and Zurrieq vs Lija Athletic will be played at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.

BOV First Division matches will be played as follows: one on Friday, two/four on Saturdays and Sundays. The venues will be the Victor Tedesco Stadium, the Centenary Stadium and the Luxol Stadium.

BOV First Division Fixtures

The BOV Second Division will kick-off on September 12 and will come to an end on April 26. Each of the fourteen clubs will be playing 26 matches for a total of 182 matches. Three teams will be promoted to the BOV First Division League while three teams will be relegated to the BOV Third Division.

BOV Second Division matches will be played as follows: one on Friday and six on either Saturdays and Sundays. The venues will be the Victor Tedesco Stadium, the Centenary Stadium, Charles Abela Stadium, Sirens Stadium and Luxol Stadium.

BOV Second Division Fixtures

The BOV Third Division will kick-off on September 11 and will come to an end on April 25. Each of the thirteen clubs will be playing 24 matches for a total of 156 matches. Three teams will be promoted to the BOV Second Division League while the bottom two teams will have to re-apply to take part in the BOV Third Division the following season.

BOV Third Division matches will be played as follows: six matches on either Saturdays and Sundays. The venues will be the Luxol Stadium, Charles Abela Stadium and Sirens Stadium.

The Youth League will kick-off early in September for Sections C, D and E and on the 24th September for Sections A and B.
