Former Malta Futsal national team coach Kevin Mifsud joined Naxxar Lions Youth Nursery.

The Naxxar Nursery is the first nursery to introduce Futsal training at the FUNdamental age groups (Under-8s and Under-9s).

The nursery believes that the kids should be introduced to futsal before football and that this is a step forward. The nursery also believes that Kevin Mifsud can be the ideal man for the job due to his vast experience in the game itself.

Kevin Mifsud is not the only coach joining the nursery. Michael Mangion – ex-Balzan FC and George Borg – ex-Qormi FC, also joined the nursery technical staff.

This is not the only initiative that the nursery is taking. The NLYN already reached an agreement with “fun fit friends”, who will be taking care of the physical side and preparation for the nursery players.

The nursery also kept the agreement with “Little Dribblers” for the second consecutive season.
