Hibernians secured the services of Brazilian striker Jorge Pereira da Silva.

Jorginho had joined Qormi in season 2011/12 scoring 18 goals in 29 matches but the following season, he moved to Kecskemeti in Hungary. He returned to Malta last season but an injury ruled him out for several months. However he still managed to score seven goals in 13 matches.

Hibernians have already another four Brazilian players, namely Rodolfo Soares, Jackson da Lima Siqueira, Marcelo Dias and Edison Luis dos Santos. Earlier this season, they signed defender Rui Fernando da Gracia Gomes from the Equatorial Guinea.
