Promising Rabat Ajax striker Ryan Micallef joined Qormi after the two clubs reached an agreement over the transfer of the year 22-year old striker.
Micallef made his debut for the Magpies in season 2010/11 but it was only the following season that he became a regular choice in the starting eleven as Rabat secured promotion from the First Division to the Premier League. He made his Premier League debut in season 2012/13 but played just the first three matches as an injury ruled him out for the rest of the season. He was back last season, scoring six goals in 22 matches.
