Scottish international striker for Zebbug Rangers

Zebbug Rangers secured the services of former Scottish international striker Craig Beattie.

Beattie started his career with Celtic before moving on to West Bromwich Albion and then Swansea City where he has had loan spells with several Football League clubs, namely Preston North End, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United and Watford. He then returned to Scotland to play for Hearts, where he won a Scottish Cup winners medal and then for St Johnstone. After a short spell with Barnet, he joined Dundee in the Scottish Championship last season.

He has seven caps for the Scotland national football team scoring once. He has also represented Scotland at Under-19, Under-21 and B levels.

Beattie is the second Scottish player to join Zebbug this summer after attacking midfielder Carlo Monti – another former player of Dundee.

The other foreigners on the books of Zebbug are Spanish defender Javi Diaz, midfielders Matias Muchardi and Ratko Mandic and strikers Mauricio Osmar Rodigues Britto and Anderson Mendes Ribeiro.
