Naxxar Lions and Mosta continued to strengthen their squads with the signing of foreign players.

Naxxar signed Senegalese striker Pape Gueye. Gueye played for Bordeaux’s second team before moving to Belgium where he played for Eendracht Aalst and Saint Gillis. Following a short spell with Amicale FC in Vanatu, he joined Sliema in summer 2013. However in January, he moved to Gzira United in Division 1.

Mosta, on the other hand, secured the services of Mexican goalkeeper Marcos Bernal Berlanga.

This will be his first experience in Europe for the Mexican goalkeeper who will join another Mexican player who signed for Mosta earlier this month – Luis Peña.
