BOV Division 2: Second win for Hamrun Spartans, Senglea Athletic

Hamrun Spartans scored three in the second half as they registered their second win in the BOV Second Division, beating Swieqi United 3-0.

Alan Tabone converted a penalty on 57 minutes to put Hamrun ahead. Simon Shead doubled the score on 79 minutes with Ryan Spiteri sealing the issue with a third goal five minutes later.

Gharghur beat Ghaxaq 2-0 thanks to goals by Toraino Singleton on the 3rd minute and Nicky Zammit on 51 minutes.

Senglea Athletic defeated Dingli Swallows 6-0 with Terence Scerri scoring three of the goals. The usual Timmy Thomas put them ahead on the 18th and just before the end of the first half, Terence Scerri doubled the score. Thomas made it 3-0 three minutes in the second half and a brace by Scerri on 57 and 63 minutes put them five goals ahead. Audgustine Obaje scored the sixth and final goal fifteen minutes from time.

Marsa defeated Xghajra Tornados 2-1. Warren Chircop and Mauro Grioli put Marsa two goals ahead on 56 minutes and 67 minutes with Glenn Saliba scoring a consolation goal on the 90th.

Zejtun Corinthians defeated Sirens 2-1. Margeith Scicluna put Zejtun ahead five minutes in the second half and Justin Felice doubled the score on the 63rd. Ryan Sciberras pulled one back for Sirens on the 90th.

San Gwann claimed their first three points in a 2-0 win over Zabbar St. Patrick thanks to a goal by Shaun Vella on the half hour and Dylan Pirotta five minutes in the second half.

Senglea and Hamrun lead the way with 6 points, followed by Gharghur, Zejtun and Marsa on 4, Sirens, Swieqi, San Gwann and Dingli 3, Zabbar, Siggiewi and Mellieha 1, Xghajra and Ghaxaq 0.
