A goal by Alan Borg Olivier three minutes in added time enabled Melita to register their second win in the BOV First Division as they beat Lija Athletic 1-0. A win which puts Melita on the six-point mark along with Gudja United, Vittoriosa Stars, St. George’s and Msida St. Joseph. Gudja and Msida, however, have a game in hand.

In fact, Vittoriosa also obtained their second win as they beat ten-man Rabat Ajax 2-1.

Vittorio di Maggio put Vittoriosa ahead one minute from the end of the first half. Adam Smeir levelled matters on 58 minutes and Carlos Campagnoli notched the winner on 71 minutes.

Gudja, Vittoriosa, St. George’s, Msida and Melita lead the way with 6 points, followed by Gzira on 4, Lija, Mqabba and Zurrieq 3, Fgura 2, Pembroke, Rabat and St. Andrews 1 and Birzebbuga 0.
