Pietà, Qormi share spoils in draw

Pietà Hotspurs and Qormi earned a point each as they shared the spoils in a goalless draw.

The Hotspurs had two changes from the team which lost heavily to Naxxar last week as Terence Agius and Claudio Frances replaced Cleaven Cassar and Nikola Tasic. Qormi, on the other hand, welcomed back Frank Temile who replaced the suspended Zoran Levnaic.

The two teams shared the exchanges during the first half with the only attempt at goal being a close-range effort by Frank Temile early in the game which was blocked by David Cassar.

On the hour, Alfred Effiong had a low shot from the right deflected onto the crossbar but the ball was cleared into safety. Six minutes later, Pietà went close with a rising shot by Orosco Anonam ending just over the bar. On the 77th, Cassar performed a great save on an Anderson Santos effort from outside the area.
