Lucky Omeruo scored twice as Pembroke Athleta moved at the top of the BOV First Division table with a 3-0 win over Zurrieq at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

Omeruo put Pembroke ahead on 16 minutes, Lyden Micallef doubled the score on 33 minutes and Omeruo sealed the issue with a third goal ten minutes in the second half.

Pembroke lead the way with 23 points, followed by St. Andrews on 22, Gudja, Vittoriosa and Melita 19, Lija 18, St. George’s 17, Gzira 16, Fgura 15, Mqabba and Rabat 14, Zurrieq and Msida 10 and Birzebbuga 3.
