Julio Alcorse returns with Sliema

Julio Cesar Alcorse will be starting a second spell with Sliema Wanderers after re-joining the club after playing in Indonesia for the past three years.

At youth level, Alcorse played for Sportivo Guadalupe in Argentina and Virtus Entella in Italy before moving back to Argentina to play for Boca Juniors. He moved back to Europe joining FC Luzerne but after a short spell with the club, he joined Almirante Brown in Argentina. Alcorse then played for Deportivo Moron in Argentina, Union La Calera in Chile and Sportivo Belgrano Cordoba in Argentina.

In summer 2007, he moved to Malta to join Hibernians but then joined Marsaxlokk on loan. He left Malta to join Club Guarani in Paraguay but returned in January 2010 to join Sliema. The following season, he moved to Marsaxlokk but then left Malta to join PSMS Medan in Indonesia. He later played for Persibo Bojonegoro, Persijap Jepara and PSIS Semarang.
