Holders Valletta face Mosta in FA Trophy quarter-finals

Holders Valletta were drawn with Mosta in the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy. The draws were held on Friday during the launching of an agreement between the Malta Football Association and Attian Group Services Limited for the sponsorship of the competition.

BOV Premier League leaders Hibernians will face Balzan, Birkirkara take on Pietà Hotspurs while Qormi will be meeting Second Division side Sirens.

The FA Trophy quarter-finals will be played on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 February.

Valletta defeated Birzebbuga St. Peter’s 7-2 and Melita 2-0 in the previous two rounds while Mosta beat Senglea Athletic 6-1 and Gzira United 4-1.

Hibernians beat St. George’s 2-0 and Nadur Youngsters 3-1 while Balzan defeated Kirkop United 2-0 and Zabbar St. Patrick 6-0.

In the previous two rounds, Birkirkara eliminated Hamrun Spartans, beating them 7-1 and Siggiewi 3-0. Pietà Hotspurs registered two 1-0 wins over Pembroke Athleta and Victoria Hotspurs.

Qormi defeated Qrendi 3-0 and Floriana 3-1 while Sirens beat San Gwann on penalties, Lija Athletic 1-0 and Gudja United 6-0.
