Seven Premier League players suspended

Four Tarxien Rainbows players were among seven Premier League players to be suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner after the weekend’s matches.

Mouhamed Soly (Tarxien) was banned for two matches while Carlos Hevia Menendez, Owen Bugeja and Firas Aboulezz (Tarxien), Djumo Bocar (Sliema), Ryan Micallef (Qormi) and Steve Borg (Valletta) were banned for one match.

The four Tarxien players and Steve Borg are ruled out of the clash between Valletta and Tarxien, Bocar Djumo will miss the clash with Birkirkara while Ryan Micallef skips the game against Mosta.

In Division 1, Leone Camilleri (Birzebbuga), Clayton Giordimaina (Gudja), Omar Farrugia and Claudio Calleja (Mqabba), Ariel Laudisi (Pembroke), Joseph Caruana (Rabat), Aaron Agius and Karl Sacco (Zurrieq) were banned for one match. Msida team manager Jesmond Abela was banned for two matches.

In Division 2, Edward Falzon (Dingli) was banned for two matches, Marc Attard (San Gwann), Shawn Bonello (Swieqi), Antoine Barbara (Xghajra) and Alexander Ellul (Zabbar)was suspended for one match. Neil Farrugia (Mtarfa) was suspended for one match in Division 3.
