Under-21 side beats Catania Primavera in friendly match

The Malta Under-21 side defeated Italian Serie A side Catania’s Primavera side in a friendly match at Torre Del Grifo. This match formed part of coach Silvio Vella’s team’s preparation ahead of the UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifiers. Malta plays its first two matches from these qualifiers against Moldova and Latvia on June 11 and 16 respectively away from home.

Catania took the lead but Malta equalised thanks to a goal by Ryan Camenzuli on 32 minutes. Camenzuli put Malta ahead on 72 minutes with Godwin McKay sealing the issue with a third goal in added time.
