Two Premier League players suspended

Two Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Douglas Moreira Cobo (Floriana) and Marko Potezica (Sliema) are ruled out of the next league game after collecting a fourth yellow card.

Douglas Cobo will miss the derby against Valletta while Potezica is ruled out of the clash with Hibernians.

Zebbug team manager Leonard Spiteri was banned for two matches.

In Division 1, Gary Caruana (Birzebbuga), Moises Avila Perez (Gzira), Luca Casha (Lija), Steven Schembri (Msida), Ousmane Sidibe and Roderick Bajada (Pembroke) and Matthew Guillaumier (St. Andrews) were all banned for one match while Zurrieq team manager Paul Bonnici was banned for two matches.
