Balzan move four points clear of Floriana

Balzan moved four points clear of Floriana in the battle for fourth place as they came back from one goal down to beat Zebbug Rangers 4-1.

The Rangers remain on the 12-point mark after suffering a sixth consecutive defeat.

Zebbug forged ahead on the 10th minute when off a corner by Jacob Borg, Matthias Muchardi beat Cassar.

However two minutes later, Balzan restored equilibrium thanks to Elkin Serrano Valero who headed the ball home off a corner by Dylan Grima.

Bojan Kaljevic put Balzan ahead on the 17th minute following an assist by Lydon Micallef.

Eleven minutes later, Balzan made it 3-1 thanks to Dylan Grima who beat Jeffrey Farrugia off a cross by Lydon Micallef.

Six minutes from time, Balzan increased the lead with a goal by substitute Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza whose rising shot off a cross by Kaljevic from the right gave goalkeeper Cassar no chance.
