Maltese officials to control matches in Georgia, Latvia

Maltese referees shall be officiating in the domestic leagues of Georgia and Latvia at the weekend.

The Malta FA Refereeing Department has appointed Elite match officials Adrian Azzopardi, Mario Apap, Mitchell Scerri and Christopher Francalanza to officiate in Georgia.

On Saturday 18th April, FIFA Referee Adrian Azzopardi shall be the referee of the FC Sioni Bolnisi vs FC Merani Martvili match in the M. Meskhi Stadium while on Sunday 19th April, Mario Apap shall be the referee of the derby match between FC Dynamo Tbilisi and WIT Georgia match at the Dynamo Arena.

FIFA Assistant Referee Mitchell Scerri and Elite Assistant Referee Christopher Francalanza have been appointed for both matches during which Adrian Azzopardi and Mario Apap will alternate roles as referee and fourth official.

Elite match officials Trustin Farrugia Cann, Fyodor Zammit, Roberto Vella and Jurgen Spiteri have been appointed for two matches in Latvia. Referee observer Kevin Azzopardi is accompanying the refereeing team.

On Friday 17th April, Trustin Farrugia Cann will be the referee of the match FS Metta/LU Riga vs FK Liepaja in Riga while on Sunday 19th April, Fyodor Zammit will be the referee of the match FK JPFS/Spartaks Jurmala vs FK Jelgava in Jurmala.

FIFA Assistant Referees Roberto Vella and Jurgen Spiteri have been appointed for both matches, during which Trustin Farrugia Cann and Fyodor Zammit will alternate roles as referee and fourth official.

Meanwhile, on Saturday 18th April, Referee Observer Kevin Azzopardi shall be acting as referee observer for the BFC Daugavpils vs FK Ventspils match being played in Daugavpils. This match will be controlled by Latvian match officials.
