Hibernians midfielder Andrew Cohen claimed the MFPA Best Player Award during the MFPA Awards Ceremony 2015 which was held at the Portomaso Suite at the Hilton Malta on Monday.

Cohen was also named in the MFPA Best XI Awards together with another five Hibernians players. Valletta midfielder Hamza Barry was voted Best Young Player.

The MFPA Best XI are goalkeeper Henry Bonello (Hibs), right wing back Zach Muscat (Birkirkara), left wing back Clayton Failla (Hibs); centre backs Andrei Agius (Hibs), Nikola Vukanac (Birkirkara) and Rodolfo Soares (Hibs); midfielders Andrew Cohen (Hibs), Gilmar da Silva Ribeiro (Naxxar) and Paul Fenech (Birkirkara) and forwards Edison Luis dos Santos (Hibs) and Bojan Kaljevic (Balzan).

Three new awards were awarded this year. Alan Mario Sant won the award for Best Referee, Hibernians coach Branko Nisevic Best Coach and Pembroke Athleta striker Ariel Laudisi Best First Division Player.

Youth FA President Fr Hilary Tagliaferro was presented with the Merit Award.
