Malta international midfielder Paul Fenech will be staying with Birkirkara after signing a new three-year deal with the club.

Fenech was reportedly on the verge of leaving the club and was being linked with at least two clubs.

A product of Naxxar Lions, Fenech joined Msida St. Joseph in summer 2005 but after two years with the club, he joined Birkirkara FC in June 2007.

Paul Fenech is the third key Birkirkara player to sign a new contract in a few days after Rowen Muscat and Justin Haber both signed new deals with the club.
