FIFA Assistant Referees Alan Camilleri and Edward Spiteri have been selected by UEFA to participate in the 2nd UEFA Course for International Assistant Referees being held in Athens, Greece this week.

The ninety-six participants have been split into 3 groups of 32 FIFA Assistant Referees in each. Alan Camilleri was placed in Group 2 and his course runs from the 20th until the 22nd May, while Edward Spiteri has been placed in Group 3 and his course runs from the 23rd until the 25th May.

The participants will also undergo fitness assessments and have a weigh in session and a skin fold measurement in the morning.

This is a window of opportunity for the two experienced Maltese assistant referees, who will be under scrutiny for possible future UEFA appointments for final tournaments.
