During the last administrative committee meeting for season 2014/2015, Lija Athletic F.C. President, Mr. Charles J. Scerri announced that he will not re-contest for a post in the Lija Athletic F.C. committee for the forthcoming season.

Senior Vice-President, Mr. David Formosa (who also said he will not contest for the new committee) and Club Secretary Mr. Samuel Cutajar, on behalf of the whole committee, thanked heartily Mr. Scerri for his hard work and dedication throughout these past twenty years within the Lija Athletic F.C. administration, mostly as President of the club within which the club also won two prestigious promotions towards the Premier League in 2001 and 2004
