BOV Super Cup to be held on August 12 — BOV Premier League to kick-off on August 21

The Malta Football Association announced the dates for the domestic competitions for the coming season.

The season will kick-off with the BOV Super Cup on Wednesday 12th August between champions Hibernians and FA Trophy winners Birkirkara. The BOV Premier League will kick-off on Friday 21st August.

The BOV Premier League first phase comes to an end on the 14th February and the second phase kicks-off on the 20th February. The last league match is scheduled for Saturday 30th April.

The first round of the FA Trophy will be on the 11th, 12th and 13th September; the second round will be played on the 23rd, 24th and 25th October; the third round on the 28/29 November, 1/2 and 15/16 December; the fourth round on the 19th and 20th January; the quarter-finals on Saturday 23rd April; the semi-finals on the 7th and 8th May and the final on Saturday 14th May.

The first match from the BOV First Division will be played on September 11. The BOV Second Division will kick-off on September 18 and the BOV Third Division on September 19.

The BOV First Division comes to an end on April 24, the BOV Second Division on April 23 and the BOV Third Division on April 24.

Unlike previous years, the Youth League will kick-off in August. The first matches from Sections A and B will be played on August 19 while Sections C, D and E will commence on August 24. The last games from the Youth League are scheduled for April 7 with the Youth Knock-Out semi-finals programmed for April 19 and the final for April 27.

The Women’s Super Cup final is scheduled for Tuesday 29th September while the BOV Women’s Leagues will kick-off on Tuesday 6th October. The last games from the Women’s League are scheduled for April 19. The Women’s Knock-Out semi-finals are in programme on April 25 and 26 and the final on May 5.
