Balzan extend Oliver Spiteri’s contract

Balzan FC announced that they have extended first team coach Oliver Spiteri’s contract to the end of season 2017/18.

Spiteri had joined Balzan in summer 2014, leading the club to a historic fourth place and participation in the UEFA Europa League.

Balzan president Anton Tagliaferro said “We are very pleased with the job that Oliver did with the first team in his first season with the club and that Oliver continues to do with the first team. Oliver is a true professional and his commitment to the role is highly respected by everyone at Balzan. We are delighted to now confirm Oliver’s tenure with us for the next three years.”

Coach Oliver Spiteri said “I would like to thank everybody at the club for extending my contract and especially the President of the club, who shares the same vision and ambitions for the club that I do. I am really enjoying my coaching role at Balzan and I look forward to continuing the good job we started last season in the years ahead. We continue to have a good blend of youth and experience in the squad and believe we will be competitive in the Premier League again this season. I am looking forward to working with the squad in future and especially in developing the many promising players coming through to the first team from the Balzan Academy in the years ahead.”
