Narrow win hands Mosta second win

A goal by Nigerian striker Saviour Fidelis three minutes in the second half enabled Mosta to register a second consecutive win as they beat Qormi 1-0 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. A win which enables Mosta to join Valletta and Pembroke Athleta as the only teams with maximum points from two matches.

Qormi, on the other hand, remain anchored at the bottom of the table without any points along with Floriana, Sliema, St. Andrews and Naxxar.

Kurt Magro made his debut for Qormi while young goalkeeper Andreas Vella was named in the starting line-up by coach Jesmond Zerafa.

Mosta cored the all-important goal early in the second half when off a cross by Fredrick Abel, Saviour Fidelis anticipated a defender to hit home past Vella.
