Valletta, Mosta target fourth win

Valletta and Mosta will be aiming for a fourth successive win on Saturday in two of the four BOV Premier League in programme on Saturday at the Hibernians Stadium and Victor Tedesco Stadium.

The Citizens take on Balzan while Mosta face Sliema Wanderers. Qormi and St. Andrews seek their first points in a direct clash while Pembroke Athleta face Birkirkara.

Qormi vs St. Andrews, kick-off 17:00 at Hibernians Stadium

Qormi and St. Andrews will be all out to collect their first three points in this direct clash between two of the three teams still without any points in the BOV Premier League. Qormi lost 1-2 to Pembroke, 0-1 to Mosta and 0-3 to Floriana. St. Andrews, on the other hand, suffered a 0-3 defeat to Valletta, a 3-4 defeat to Pembroke and a 0-3 defeat to Mosta.

Valletta vs Balzan, kick-off 19:00 at Hibernians Stadium

Valletta seek their fourth successive win but face a difficult test as they take on Balzan. THe Citizens defeated St. Andrews 3-0, Sliema Wanderers 1-0 and Birkirkara 2-1. Balzan, on the other hand, held champions Hibernians in a 1-1 draw in their first outing, beat Naxxar Lions 2-0 and were then held in a goalless draw by Tarxien Rainbows.

Ryan Fenech is expected to make his first league appearance for Balzan but Bojan Kaljevic is still ruled out injured. Valletta, on the other hand, should be in full strength.

Pembroke Athleta vs Birkirkara, kick-off 17:00 at Victor Tedesco Stadium

After a 2-2 draw with Tarxien and a 1-2 defeat to Valletta, Birkirkara hope to bounce back as they take on a Pembroke Athleta side which defeated Qormi 2-1 and St. Andrews 4-3 but lost narrowly to Sliema last week.

Mosta vs Sliema Wanderers, kick-off 19:15 at Victor Tedesco Stadium

Mosta target a fourth win in as many matches after beating Floriana 2-1, Qormi 1-0 and St. Andrews 3-0. However the Wanderers aim for another positive result after they collected their first three points in a narrow win over Pembroke after losing the opening two games against Tarxien Rainbows and Valletta.
