Raphael Alain Kooh Sohna scored twice in the final five minutes to hand Gzira United the three points in a 2-0 win over Mqabba in one of two BOV First Division matches at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.

The game seemed heading for a goalless draw but five minutes from time, Kooh Sohna converted a penalty to put the Maroons ahead and the same player doubled the score five minutes later.

In another match, Gudja United defeated Pietà Hotspurs 2-1.

Aaron Agius converted a penalty to put Gudja ahead on the 20th but another penalty by Christian Grech for Pietà restored equilibrium on the 36th. Dylan Pirotta notched the winner ten minutes in the second half.

Gzira lead the way with six points, followed by Fgura, Senglea, Melita, Rabat and Gudja on three; San Gwann and Zebbug one; Lija, Vittoriosa, Hamrun and Mqabba zero.
